Frequently Asked Questions

We believe therapy is for everyone. Whether you’re seeking support through life’s challenges, aiming to reduce symptoms of mental illness, or looking to enhance daily well-being, there’s a space for you here. Please contact us to be matched with a therapist who meets your needs.

Each client’s journey is unique, with distinct backgrounds, goals, and availability. While significant progress can often be made within six to eight sessions, some clients may see changes sooner, and others might prefer a more extended, deliberate approach. Our commitment is to equip you with tools that support your well-being beyond our sessions.

We understand that finding the right therapist is crucial. If you feel your current therapist isn’t the best match, you have the right to choose or switch therapists at any time. You can discuss this directly with your therapist or reach out to our Clinical Director for assistance.

Confidentiality is a cornerstone of our therapeutic relationships. Your personal stories, feelings, and histories are entrusted to us and kept private within your sessions. Whether in-office or online, we ensure a secure and private environment. Prior to your first session, you’ll review and sign our Intake Paperwork, which includes an Informed Consent detailing how your information is shared and kept confidential. Please note, there are exceptions to confidentiality in accordance with California state law and professional ethics, such as risks of harm or suspected abuse.

Marriage and Family Therapists (MFTs) are mental health professionals trained in psychotherapy to diagnose and treat mental and emotional disorders within the context of relationship systems. They focus on understanding problems from a systemic, relational perspective, considering the intricate dynamics of relationships and their impact on individual well-being.
